Artificial intelligence can assist with research, organization, and explanation, but it cannot become Jesus, speak for God, or replace Scripture and trustworthy human guidance.

The homepage currently displays a disabled question field. Visitor questions are not intended to be submitted, answered, or saved through that field.

Published guides are available

Visitors can currently explore public Scripture topic hubs and focused question pages using the website navigation and internal links.

Policies must be updated before launch

The Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, technical safeguards, provider disclosures, and data-handling procedures must be reviewed before public AI submissions are enabled.

No launch date is promised

The AI feature may change, be delayed, remain limited, or not launch if it cannot be operated responsibly.

What the disabled homepage field means

The disabled question area is a preview of a possible future feature. It is not currently intended to transmit visitor questions to an AI provider, database, server function, or human reviewer.

Core identity

Software is not Jesus

Ask Jesus Clearly is an independent educational project. Its name describes the subject of the website and the desire to help people examine questions about Jesus through Scripture.

The website does not claim that visitors are literally talking to Jesus. A future AI tool would remain software that generates language from patterns, instructions, provided context, and connected information.

Generated text would not become inspired Scripture, prophecy, revelation, a spiritual experience, pastoral authority, or the direct voice of God merely because it sounds compassionate or confident.

Claiming to be Jesus Christ.
Speaking in the first person as though the AI is Jesus or God.
Claiming that a generated response is a direct message from God.

Promising salvation, healing, financial blessing, forgiveness, or spiritual favor.

Accuracy limitations

AI-generated answers can be wrong

Artificial intelligence can produce fluent and convincing language even when the underlying statement is incorrect.

A polished response should never be treated as proof that the Bible, history, theology, science, law, medicine, or another source supports the answer.

Incorrect Bible references

An AI system may cite the wrong verse, confuse similar passages, or identify a passage that does not support its conclusion.

Invented quotations

An AI system may generate wording that sounds biblical but is not an exact quotation from the identified translation.

Missing context

A response may overlook the speaker, audience, literary setting, historical background, or wider argument of a passage.

Overconfidence

Generated language may sound certain even when the evidence is incomplete or Christians reasonably disagree.

Theological imbalance

A response may unintentionally favor one tradition, omit another established interpretation, or oversimplify an important disagreement.

Outdated information

External resources, professional guidance, organizational information, laws, or technology details may change.

Repetition or irrelevance

An AI system may repeat general statements, misunderstand the question, or provide information that does not address the visitor’s actual concern.

Unsafe interpretation

A generated response may fail to recognize when a situation requires urgent, professional, pastoral, or responsible adult support.

Bible verification

Exact quotations require exact checking

A future AI response should not be trusted to reproduce an exact Bible quotation from memory.

Direct quotations should be retrieved from and verified against a trusted local public-domain Bible dataset. The response should identify the translation and preserve the wording and reference accurately.

Summaries and interpretations should be labeled as explanation rather than placed inside quotation marks.

Current implementation note

A complete local Bible dataset and automated quotation-verification system have not yet been implemented. This is one reason the public AI guide remains inactive.

Professional-care limitations

AI cannot evaluate a person's full circumstances

A generated response cannot perform a medical examination, assess a complete mental-health history, establish an attorney-client relationship, evaluate financial records, or provide emergency assistance.

Scripture-centered encouragement does not replace clinicians, counselors, attorneys, financial professionals, emergency services, pastors, guardians, or other trustworthy support.

Visitors should not delay appropriate help because of an AI response or a published article.

Personal decisions

AI should not make private spiritual decisions for visitors

A future guide may help identify biblical principles, but it cannot know every motive, relationship, responsibility, danger, opportunity, or consequence involved in a personal decision.

It should not declare that God has commanded a visitor to marry a particular person, leave a relationship, quit a job, move to a certain place, spend money, refuse treatment, join a specific church, or take another private action.

Serious decisions should involve prayer, Scripture read in context, wise counsel, responsible adults when appropriate, and qualified professional help when the subject requires it.

Privacy

Visitors should not submit highly sensitive information

AI questions may contain personal beliefs, health concerns, family conflicts, relationship details, financial information, or other private material.

Before a public AI feature is launched, the site must explain what information is sent, which provider processes it, how it is protected, how long it may be retained, and whether humans may review it.

Visitors should never submit passwords, payment information, government identification numbers, private medical records, confidential legal documents, precise location information, or other highly sensitive material.

Read the complete passage in a trusted Bible rather than relying only on a quotation or summary.

Compare the context

Consider the surrounding chapter, biblical book, original audience, and wider message of Scripture.

Verify quotations, references, dates, external resources, and specialized factual claims.

Avoid sharing sensitive information

Do not submit passwords, financial information, identification numbers, medical records, private counseling records, or other highly sensitive details.

Seek trusted guidance

Discuss serious spiritual questions with a trustworthy pastor, mature Christian mentor, guardian, or responsible adult.

Seek qualified professional help

Use an appropriate clinician, counselor, attorney, financial professional, emergency service, or other qualified source when circumstances require it.

Development requirements

What should happen before the feature launches

Define the exact service

The project must document which AI provider, model, server route, safety controls, and supporting systems are actually used.

Define data handling

The project must explain what question text is transmitted, where it is processed, how long it may be retained, and who may access it.

Add security controls

The service should include appropriate request limits, validation, monitoring, secret management, abuse prevention, and protection against unauthorized use.

Add content safeguards

The service should use clear system boundaries, risk detection, refusal behavior, professional-care reminders, and protection against harmful spiritual claims.

Add source verification

Bible quotations and references should be checked against a verified local public-domain Bible dataset before exact wording is presented.

Add transparency

The interface must plainly identify generated commentary, its limitations, and the fact that the user is interacting with software rather than Jesus.

Test before launch

The feature should be tested for hallucinated verses, misleading certainty, unsafe advice, privacy failures, prompt manipulation, and broken user flows.

Review policies

Privacy, terms, contact procedures, data retention, provider disclosures, and operational responsibilities must match the service that is actually deployed.

Human review

AI assistance does not equal human approval

Artificial intelligence may assist with drafting, coding, organization, editing, and identifying areas that require checking.

Content should not be described as human-reviewed unless a person has actually reviewed it.

Human review also does not guarantee perfection. Reviewers can misunderstand sources, overlook errors, or disagree about interpretation.

Visitors should continue to examine Scripture and reliable sources for themselves.

Feedback and corrections

Reporting a problem

Visitors may report an incorrect Bible reference, invented quotation, misleading theological claim, unsafe response, broken link, privacy concern, or other problem.

A report should identify the page or response involved and explain the specific concern without including unnecessary sensitive information.
